Armenia is a landlocked country in the Armenian Highlands of West Asia, and former Soviet republic, in the mountainous Caucasus region between Asia and Europe. Among the earliest Christian civilizations, it’s defined by religious sites including the Greco-Roman Temple of Garni and 4th-century Etchmiadzin Cathedral, headquarters of the Armenian Church. Itinerary

  • Arrival in Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport and transfer to hotel.
  • After check-in and relaxing a bit we start our city tour around the vibrant capital of Yerevan: Republic Square, North Avenue, Opera House, Cascade Monument, which is an open-air museum of modern art with hanging gardens and fountains. At top of the monument you will get to Victory Park with the Monument to Mother Armenia gorgeously towering over the city. Evening leisure time on your own.
  • Overnight in Yerevan at hotel Ramada or similar

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to ski resort town of Tsakhadzor, known as “flower valley”. Take the ropeway to admire the view from Teghenis mountain. Depart to Lake Sevan “the Pearl of Armenia” and the 2nd highest mountainous lake in the world. Sightseeing on the peninsula. Visit Sevanavank Monastery and stunning views of the lake. Drive back to Yerevan
  • Overnight in Yerevan at hotel Ramada or similar

  • After Breakfast Depart to Geghard Monastery, which is hewn out from the cave and included in the UNESCO World Heritage. Proceed to Garni Temple from 1st century the only preserved pagan temple in the region. Enjoy a thrilling Jeeping session at Azat River gorge to the natural formation “Symphony of Stones” (optional). Drive back to Yerevan to visit the Fruit and Food market complete with organic fresh vegetables. Leisure time to enjoy the evening on your own or shopping
  • Overnight in Yerevan at hotel Ramada or similar

  • Today we visit the beautiful Ararat Valley. Visit the Khor Virap Monastery 4-17th bc. Approx. 45 kms from Yerevan the monastery of Khor-Virap has a very rich history, both religious and secular. It is situated in the Ararat valley against the biblical Ararat Mountain, were Noah's arch cast anchor.
  • Visit the famous Tushpa Wine Cellar for tour and degustation. Drive Back To Yerevan.
  • Evening at leisure.

  • After breakfast at the hotel day is free to enjoy the beautiful city of Yerevan and later head to the airport for your next destination.

Travel Guide

  • Local Sim Card. You’ll need a passport and your hotel registration to buy a SIM card.
  • Time Zone. Indian Standard Time is 1 hour ahead of Armenia.
  • Plug and Socket. Armenia, there are two associated plug types, types C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side. Armenia operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
  • Currency. The Armenian dram is the currency of the Republic of Armenia.
  • Climate. Climate of Armenia in other regions is markedly continental. Summer is dry and sunny, lasting from June to mid-September. Winter is short and quite cold with plenty of snow. In the mountains the average summer temperature ranges between +10 and +22°C, and in the winter temperatures range between +2 and -14 °C.
  • Clothing. In spring and summer, lightweight clothing is best during the day and warmer clothing for colder nights. During autumn and winter layers work best. We recommend taking a hat, gloves, scarf and a fleece jumper. In winter a thick waterproof and windproof jacket is required and you may need thermals also. There may be a chance to go for a swim or enjoy spa activities, so keep a swim suit handy. Ladies should keep a headscarf to cover their head when entering religious sites.
  • Footwear. Comfortable slippers or sandals for relaxing and walking shoes for walking tours and optional walks.
  • Luggage. One main piece of baggage of around 20kgs and a daypack for personal items. Remember that you may have to carry your own luggage so don’t overload yourself.
  • Tipping. Tipping isn’t compulsory. You may however, want to recognize the work of a guide or driver that has done a great job. We would recommend $3 to $5 per person per day depending on the size of the group and accompanying staff.
  • Visa & Passport Control. You can apply for the visa online through the Armenian e-visa portal at-least 15-20 days before travel.
