About this tour

Uttarakhand, also known as Devbhoomi or the Land of Gods, is home to numerous temples and welcomes devotees all year round. Among the countless religious sites and circuits that devotees visit in Uttarakhand, one of the most prominent is the Do Dham Yatra. This Yatra or pilgrimage is a tour of two of the four holy sites – Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath – nestled high up in the Himalayas. In Hindi, ‘char’ means four and ‘dham’ refers to religious destinations. The high-altitude shrines remain shut for around six months every year, opening in summers (April or May) and closing with the onset of winter (October or November). It is believed that one should complete the Do Dham Yatra in a clockwise direction. Hence, the pilgrimage starts from Kedarnath, and finally ends at Badrinath. Located in the Rudraprayag district lies Kedarnath, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Badrinath, home to the sacred Badrinarayan Temple, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Do Dham Yatra is as divine as it is arduous but fulfils the soul!

Itinerary

• Dehradun is our main base for the Heli-tours. It is the starting and ending point.
• A complimentary stay is provided on the date of arrival, dinner is included.
• Passengers are picked up from Dehradun Airport/railway station/bus stand. Please note, arrival details must be provided at the time of booking.
• Passengers should try to reach Dehradun by 02:00 pm, or earlier, so that they are completely ready to start their Chardham yatra the next day early morning.
• In the evening, our team will be doing the tour briefing with the passengers, & provide them complimentary duffel bags for carrying only necessary things on the trip – Up to 5 kg/person will be permitted.

• 0700hrs ETD from Harshil
• 0730hrs ETA at Sersi Helibase
• Passengers will check-out by 0600 hrs. Arrival at Sersi helipad will be by 0730 hrs.
• Sersi – Shuttle services for Kedarnath ji shrine from here.
• Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath Dham for darshan in a shuttle services flight, after their breakfast.
• Approximate time taken for Kedarnath Temple Darshan: 02 hours.
• The shuttle services flight Sersi to Kedarnath is approx. 07 minutes long.
• Sightseeing at Sersi or Guptkashi: Kali temple at Guptkashi (sightseeing after 1630 hrs is not possible in the hills)

• 0800hrs ETD from Sersi
• 0830hrs ETA at Badrinath
• Passengers will have breakfast by 0700 hrs at Sersi be ready for their flight to Badrinath by 0800 hrs.
• Passengers will be taken for darshan to Badrinath temple.
• Approximate time taken for Badrinath Temple Darshan: Approx. 01-1.5 Hrs is taken to have darshan at the Badrinath Temple. Passengers will be taken from Hotel to the temple by car.
• Sightseeing at Badrinath: Mana Village – Known as the ‘Last village of India’, due to its proximity to the China border.
• Departure for Dehradun: Estimated time of arrival will be 1030 hrs at Sahastradhara Dehradun. On arrival, our team will be present to receive the passengers. Later, they will be taken to Dehradun hotel to collect the luggage from cloak rooms, and then be dropped to airport/railway station.
• In case passengers would like to spend an additional night at Dehradun, accommodation can be arranged by at an additional cost. The same must be informed to us at the time of booking.

TERMS, CONDITIONS AND GUIDELINES:
• Fixed flight timings: This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour, and all departure timings of each destination is fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the scheduled ETDs on each day of the tour, other-wise they will be considered NO- SHOW.
• Helicopter weight limitations: Maximum weight capacity of the helicopter is upto 450 kg for 6 passengers i.e average weight of each person should be 75kgs or less (excluding baggage weight). Passengers are taken on board depending up on the load and temperature conditions. Pilots call will be final. Total weight of all passengers on board must be within this limit. Hence, passengers are required to provide us their exact weights at the time of booking.
• Over-weight charges: On per seat basis only for Chardham helicopter are applicable @ INR 2000/kg which would be chargeable as per the overweight criteria, the same would be collected prior to boarding of flights.
• Baggage Allowance: Only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 Kgs is allowed per passenger. It is not permitted to carry suitcases or any other luggage bags in the helicopter. Therefore, complimentary duffle bags are provided by our staff to all passengers on the day of arrival. Baggage weight is allowed as per group total body weight. In-case body weight of group exceeds allowable limit of 450kg then luggage will be carried by road at additional cost of all passenger travelling in that chopper. In view of our helicopters’ limited weight carrying capacity, we reserve the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight for safe flying in the hills. Therefore, passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in same helicopter flight.
• Arrival date: Our Chardham 4N5D Heli-tours are booked departure date wise. However, passengers have to arrive Dehradun one day prior to the departure date. Dehradun complimentary night stay which is provided on the arrival date makes our package a 5Night/6Days tour. The actual flying commences from day 02 of the tour.
• Seating Capacity: The maximum seating capacity for our helicopters is 06 passengers + 01 Crew.
• Infants: Infant below 2 years or 12kg are accommodated free of charge. For verification of age the child, ID proof/birth certificate of the child will be checked.
• Bad weather and force majeure disclaimer: Flying in hills is subject to bad weather, and many Force Majeure factors like delayed Air Traffic Clearances/Permissions, VVIP movements, valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), sudden occurrence of technical snag in aircraft, illness of flying crew or late reporting of the passengers at the helipads, among others.
• Above mentioned time and schedule is tentative and suggestive in order to understand Chardham flying routine cycle. It can change and be rescheduled as per weather conditions prevailing at time of flying. Therefore, passengers must be prepared to face any eventuality and inconvenience in case of such scenarios.

• Rooms are booked on double or triple sharing basis only.
• For a separate single occupancy room, it will be extra chargeable @INR 50,000/person (tax inclusive).
• Hotels at all the Dhams are non-star category. However, we have carefully selected the most comfortable & best rated properties for our Heli-tours. We strongly advise our passengers to keep one additional day at hand, over & above the 5N6D period, to avoid inconvenience in case passengers get stuck at any of the destinations due to bad weather or force majeure scenarios.
Disclaimer – Accommodation at Kedarnath-top is budget category, and there can be instances of complaints in regard to the hotel services & rooms. Furthermore, temperature as well as oxygen level at Kedarnath-top may drop to sub-zero levels at night in Sep/Oct, therefore passengers are advised to take decision keeping the same in consideration. Any health conditions should be reported beforehand, we will not responsible for any incident for guest health staying at Kedarnath top.
